Baseball Head Coach- Middle School

Penn's Grove Middle School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our middle school baseball program. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the game, excellent coaching skills, and the ability to inspire and develop young athletes. This role involves not only teaching the fundamentals of baseball but also fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for the game among student‑athletes.

• Develop and implement practice plans that focus on skill development, teamwork, and game strategy.
• Conduct tryouts and select team members based on skill level, attitude, and potential for growth.
• Organize and oversee all aspects of the baseball program, including practices, games, and team meetings.
• Monitor and assess player performance, providing constructive feedback and encouragement.
• Ensure the safety and well‑being of all players during practices and games.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team policies, schedules, and expectations.
• Promote a positive and inclusive team culture that emphasizes respect, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance the overall athletic program at Penn's Grove Middle School.
• Attend coaching clinics and workshops to stay current with baseball coaching techniques and strategies.
• Maintain equipment and ensure that facilities are ready for practices and games.

• Previous coaching experience, preferably at the middle school or high school level.
• Strong knowledge of baseball rules, strategies, and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• A commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive environment for all players.
• First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
• Must pass a background check in accordance with school policies.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during the baseball season.
