Baseball Assistant Coach- Middle School

Penn's Grove Middle School is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our athletic program as a Baseball Assistant Coach. The ideal candidate will support the head coach in developing student-athletes' skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive sportsmanship culture. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all players while contributing to their overall growth and development in the sport of baseball.

The candidate will assume the role of 7th grade coach.

• Assist the head coach in planning and implementing practice sessions, drills, and game strategies.
• Provide individual and group instruction to players to enhance their skills and understanding of the game.
• Help organize and supervise team activities, including practices, games, and team meetings.
• Monitor and promote the physical and emotional well-being of student-athletes.
• Maintain effective communication with players, parents, and school administration.
• Assist in the recruitment and evaluation of new players.
• Support the development of a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.
• Ensure compliance with school policies and regulations as well as safety protocols during all activities.
• Attend coaching clinics and workshops to enhance coaching skills and knowledge of the sport.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach or school administration.

• Previous experience playing or coaching baseball at the middle school level or higher.
• Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
• Availability to attend practices and games, including evenings and weekends.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred but not required.
• A background check will be required prior to employment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college experience in sports management or a related field is a plus.
