HGV Class 1 Driver

Job Overview

You will work as part of the Logistics Delivery team, operating a fleet of potable water tankers to support both reactive and planned work. The role involves the essential delivery of water to customers and includes sampling procedures before loading and discharging into hydrants or reservoirs.

• Follow established processes and procedures.
• Operate both HGV 1 and HGV 2 vehicles with manual and automatic gearboxes, as well as various support vehicles such as welfare vans.
• Take water samples before loading and discharge.

• Class 1 HGV Driver experience.
• Current Class 1 HGV licence with no more than 6 penalty points and no Disqualification (DR) or Ineligibility (IN) convictions.
• Full Driver CPC and a valid Driver Tachograph card.
• Clear knowledge of Transport Law, the Road Traffic Act, Driver’s Hours rules, and Working Time regulations.
• Willingness to work a rotational shift pattern, including day and night shifts.

• 38.5 hours per week – 4 on, 4 off (Days & Nights) – £42,435 per annum.
• 38.5 hours per week – 4 on, 4 off (Monday to Sunday Day shifts) – £37,337 per annum.
