HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Class 2 HIAB Driver with clamshell operating experience to join a busy construction team. This is a hands-on role working on active construction sites, requiring a confident and safety-conscious operator who can work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

* Operating a HIAB lorry-mounted crane with clamshell bucket attachment for the loading, unloading and movement of materials on construction sites

* Transporting materials, aggregates, spoil and construction waste to and from site

* Carrying out pre-use inspections of the vehicle and HIAB equipment

* Liaising with site managers and ground workers to ensure efficient material handling

* Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting in line with legal requirements

* Working safely in accordance with site rules, health and safety regulations and company procedures

* Maintaining a clean and tidy vehicle at all times

Requirements

* Valid Class 2 (Category

C) licence

* HIAB / lorry loader licence (ALLMI or equivalent)

* Clamshell operating experience — preferred

* Valid CPCS or CSCS card — desirable

* Construction site experience preferred

* Strong knowledge of health and safety practices

* Excellent communication and time management skills
