AHUK offers considerable experience in helicopter sales, bespoke completions, maintenance and spares support. Its in-house engineering capabilities include design, customisation, installation, flight-testing and certification, as well as technical support, maintenance, training and the supply of spares for civil and military applications.
AHUK is the MoD’s chosen provider of helicopters and maintenance for its No.1 Helicopter Flying school (referred to as MFTS) located in RAF Shawbury (Shropshire) and RAF Valley (Anglesey).
Description/Overall ResponsibilitiesAs an Avionic Manager, you'll be responsible for the certification of maintenance and repairs on a variety of Airbus rotorcraft, including the popular H125, H135, H145 and the new H160. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, continued operation of our aircraft through:
- Management of staff adherence to standards and expectations of AHUK policy and engineering practice
- Assist with production planning
- Supervision of battery workshop and other component work as endorsed by the company approvals
- Liaison with Part 21 functions
- Inspection and issuance of Form 1’s
- Providing technical support to regional engineers and customers
- Management of MGS and other associated maintenance softwares
- Essential:
Part 66 B2 and C licence with type ratings of EC135,H135,EC145,H145 minimum. H160 and single group desirable. - Knowledge & Skills :
Expertise in engine and airframe systems, strong UK CAA regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication skills. - Passion for Excellence :
Ability to work as part of a team with a keen eye for detail.
- Part 66 B2 Licence with C certifying privileges.
- Degree level qualification in an aircraft maintenance related topic.
- Excellent organisational skills and time management.
- Very good leadership and team building ability.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, and an excellent communicator at all levels.
- Flexible to working requirements and the ability to rapidly adapt to changing situations.
- Highly presentable at all times.
- Due to the nature of this position you will require DBS Security Clearance and be eligible for SC clearance.
- Applicants must meet any/all requirements of Export Compliance Regulations.
