We are looking for a reliable Warehouse Operative to join a busy logistics operation in Oxford on a temporary, day-shift basis. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who works well as part of a team and takes pride in completing tasks accurately and safely.
About the companyThis Oxfordshire-based logistics business provides general haulage, pallet distribution, warehousing and contract-packing services. Its wider service offering also includes European transport and air and ocean freight. The role supports day-to-day warehouse activity within a business focused on storage, fulfilment and distribution.
Key responsibilities- Loading and unloading deliveries safely
- Moving stock and goods around the warehouse
- Picking, packing and preparing items for dispatch
- Checking goods against paperwork and reporting discrepancies
- Keeping work areas tidy and organised
- Following site health and safety procedures
- Supporting general warehouse duties as required
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is useful but not essential
- Good attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team
- Physically capable of carrying out manual handling duties
- Able to follow instructions and workplace procedures
- Comfortable working at pace while maintaining accuracy
- Good basic communication skills
This temporary position offers pay of £12.71 to £14.00 per hour and regular daytime working hours. Applicants should be available to start promptly and be committed to maintaining high standards throughout each shift.
