Overview

Swarm Aero is redefining air power, building the largest swarming UAV and most versatile swarming aircraft network in the world. The company is moving quickly to launch the first aircraft designed specifically for swarming as well as the Command & Control software to mobilize swarms of thousands of heterogeneous autonomous assets and empower human operators to achieve superhuman results.

The team has created and exited multiple startups, negotiated defense deals worth billions of dollars and designed and built 30+ novel aircraft, with aerospace experience from Scaled Composites, Space

X, Airbus, Archer Aviation, Blue Origin, and Boom Supersonic.

As the Production Materials and Process lead, you will help us research materials and build processes suitable for high-rate production of aircraft structures. You will work closely with the structures design team to incorporate design optimizations for high-volume production.

What you’ll do
  • Research, test, and select appropriate material systems and processes for volume production of a large UAS
  • Validate material properties through simulation and test
  • Design processes for structural component build and full-scale assembly
  • Validate production processes through simulation and test
  • Support the structures design team in design for manufacturability
What you’ve done
  • Graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or gained equivalent experience
  • Spent 7+ years working in a production environment building structures
  • Generated materials properties data for composite systems
  • Gained hands-on experience working with both composite and aluminum structures

  • Experience in creating or managing high-volume production build environments

Salary Range: $135,000-$185,000
