Process Mechanical Engineer

About The Role

Jedson Engineering is seeking an experienced Process Mechanical Engineer to support projects within the Consumer Products manufacturing sector, with a specific emphasis in the paper making industry. This role is ideal for a hands‑on engineering professional who thrives in both design and field environments and enjoys working closely with production and operations. This will be a remote role to support client projects in the Oxnard and greater California area.

• Develop process and mechanical engineering designs for Consumer Products manufacturing systems, equipment, and facilities.
• Conduct on‑site assessments at manufacturing plants as needed to gather data, validate designs, troubleshoot issues, and support installation or commissioning activities.
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations, equipment specifications, P&IDs, layouts, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary engineers, project managers, and plant personnel to ensure project success.
• Support project planning, schedule coordination, and design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards, and Jedson Engineering work processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or related discipline).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering.
• Strong background in Consumer Products manufacturing – equipment, utilities, and process systems.
• Ability and willingness to be on‑site at Oxnard area manufacturing facilities as needed.
• Proficiency with engineering software and tools (AutoCAD, Fathom, etc.).
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and field troubleshooting skills.

• Experience working in a consulting engineering or EPC environment.
• Experience in the paper making or related industries.
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
