Manufacturing Engineer 2 – Electrical (49632)

Haas Automation, Inc., the largest machine tool builder in the western world, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer 2 – Electrical to document manufacturing processes and resolve assembly issues on the production floor and in our vertically integrated operations.

• Troubleshoot electrical components that fail
• Perform minor repairs on circuit boards and assemblies
• Observe proper static handling procedures
• Document test results
• Recommend changes in assembly process to eliminate field failures
• Write work instructions with minimal direction
• Solve basic problems with minimal direction
• Communicate effectively with all personnel
• Follow instructions, procedures, and policies while escalating any issue that impacts workflow or quality
• Exhibit honesty and integrity in all duties

• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting electrical components
• Experience with electrical parts, products, and assemblies
• Familiarity with electrical diagnostic equipment
• Excellent root cause analysis skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Knowledge of power calculations

• Additional related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience beyond the minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (any field) from a four‑year college or university is required; a major in Electrical Engineering is preferred
• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills in English
• Capability to calculate and apply basic arithmetic, algebra, and geometry concepts
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking; occasional bending of neck and waist
• Frequent lifting of 0‑25 lbs, occasional lifting of 26‑61 lbs; rarely lifting over 61 lbs
• Repetitive hand use including fine manipulation, power grasping, and pushing/pulling
• Exposure to loud noise and general office or engineering lab environment
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, hazardous chemicals, fumes, and outside weather conditions
• Rare exposure to electrical shock
