Responsibilities- Develop and validate mixing processes for energetic materials and chemical formulations.
- Design mixing equipment and conduct capability studies.
- Optimize processes, improve operational yield and consistency.
- Ensure safety compliance during transition from laboratory to pilot and full‑scale manufacturing.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and safety teams.
- Engage in new product introductions and perform root cause analyses for process deviations.
- Utilize CAD systems like Solid Works for product lifecycle management.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in chemical process engineering, especially chemical mixing operations.
- Expertise in energetic materials, propellants, and hazardous formulations.
- Solid understanding of batch and continuous mixing processes and equipment selection.
- Familiarity with process safety management (PSM) and hazard analysis.
- Ability to obtain ATF security clearance.
- Strong communication skills and collaboration with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- Knowledge of aerospace and military standards, GD&T, and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
- Preferred:
Master’s degree in chemical engineering and direct experience in aerospace or defense environments.
