Responsibilities
  • Develop and validate mixing processes for energetic materials and chemical formulations.
  • Design mixing equipment and conduct capability studies.
  • Optimize processes, improve operational yield and consistency.
  • Ensure safety compliance during transition from laboratory to pilot and full‑scale manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and safety teams.
  • Engage in new product introductions and perform root cause analyses for process deviations.
  • Utilize CAD systems like Solid Works for product lifecycle management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in chemical process engineering, especially chemical mixing operations.
  • Expertise in energetic materials, propellants, and hazardous formulations.
  • Solid understanding of batch and continuous mixing processes and equipment selection.
  • Familiarity with process safety management (PSM) and hazard analysis.
  • Ability to obtain ATF security clearance.
  • Strong communication skills and collaboration with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of aerospace and military standards, GD&T, and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
  • Preferred:
    Master’s degree in chemical engineering and direct experience in aerospace or defense environments.
