Precise Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Technician to serve on the Vertical Launch System (VLS) Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Team. This role will design, develop, and prototype test equipment and simulators for the MK41 and MK57 VLS Programs, and assist engineers with tasking related to design, fabrication, testing, and maintenance of VLS ATE equipment.
Duties- Fabricate and assemble prototype and production electrical/electronic systems.
- Build or modify prototypes from sketches or plans.
- Draw diagrams and write specifications for experimental electronics units.
- Inspect designs for quality control, report findings, and recommend improvements.
- Identify solutions to technical design problems arising during design, fabrication, and checkout.
- Redline Technical Data Packages (TDPs) to reflect changes and errors.
- Install and maintain electrical equipment and modify prototypes to correct problems.
- Set up test equipment, evaluate performance of parts and systems under simulated conditions, and collect data.
- Assemble, test, and maintain circuitry and electronic components per engineering instructions and manuals.
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers.
- Calibrate and perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
- IPC-A-620 or equivalent soldering and cable assembly certification.
- IPC-A-610 or equivalent PCB/PCBA inspection and assembly certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio).
- Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and changing priorities.

- 2‑5 years as an Electronics Technician.
- High School Diploma.
- Associate or higher degree in engineering preferred.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
- Ability to travel up to 25 % and valid driver’s license for possible CONUS travel.
- Valid U.S. passport for possible OCONUS travel.
- Strong independent learning and motivation.
- Self‑starter who thrives in a team environment.
Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship required.

CompensationThe hourly rate for this position ranges from $25.52 to $36.06. Additional pay and benefits details are described in the full offer.
