Position: Part-Time Registered Nurse - Company Health & Wellness

Job Overview

Occupational Health Registered Nurse needed for a part‑time, long‑term contract opportunity with Yoh’s well‑known client located in Oxnard, CA.

This clinic offers occupational, primary, and preventative care for employees. Interesting job getting to help keep employees healthy and safe at work and help with medical screenings.

Shifts — 20 hours per week:
Monday‑Thursday 7:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Top Skills You Should Possess

• Active / unrestricted Registered Nurse license in state of California
• Previous experience within:
  Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care, Family Medicine, School Nursing, or Corrections type setting
• Recent clinical experience and strong first‑aid skills
• Professional, knowledgeable, friendly, outgoing, etc.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Nursing assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns
• Ambulatory care such as treating sore throats, ear aches, rashes, pink eye, etc.
• Provide wellness materials / information (health promotion and disease prevention)
• Assist with the delivery of the medical surveillance program
• Provide counseling, health education, and training programs
• Dispense OTC medications
• Respond to medical emergencies and administer first‑aid to employees

What You Need to Bring to the Table

• Required
  
  Certifications:
  
  BLS & CAOHC (hearing conservation / audiometry)
• Must be comfortable working autonomously
• Prior experience using Microsoft Teams & Microsoft Excel
• Preferred
  
  Certifications:
  
  NIOSH (spirometry / pulmonary function test) and COHN (Certified Occupational Health Nurse)

Reimbursement available for hearing conservation course but must be open to completing prior to starting.
