Location:

Oxnard #21 – Saviers Rd.

Base pay range: $19.00/hr – $25.00/hr (Hourly, non‑exempt, full‑time and part‑time).

• Greet customers in a friendly manner.
• Check temperatures frequently in the meat cases to ensure proper levels.
• Assist customers with meat purchases.
• Place meat orders on a weigh scale and print out correct pricing.
• Thank customers for their patronage.
• Maintain a clean workstation.
• For employee purchases, place meat in clear plastic bags and avoid paper wrapping.
• Assist and participate in company marketing promotional events and programs as needed.
• Arrange meat products within display cases to Vallarta Supermarkets standards.
• Provide special cuts for customers upon request.
• Use all equipment (slicers, glasers, knives, wrappers, etc.) safely and appropriately.
• Operate the band saw with all guards in place and follow safety protocols.
• Lift boxes and products weighing between 20 lbs and 60 lbs.
• Place boxes/products onto a dolly or cart.
• Push or pull items weighing between 30 lbs and 200 lbs on a cart or dolly.
• Bend or stoop to pick up or place product below waist level, including shelves and racks.
• Place product onto bins and position for sale.
• Grasp or grip product to prepare for the sales floor by cutting or cleaning.
• Continuously sweep or push a broom to pick up debris and keep the work area clean.
• Place and remove product from the meat cooler, including shelving and produce bins.
• Reach above shoulder level for meat placement on the sales floor and shelving/rack systems in the meat warehouse.
• Place debris, trash, and recycle cardboard in their respective areas.
• Clean and maintain meat tables and bins.
• Climb ladders to retrieve or place product on top shelves or the meat cooler.
