Dock Installer - Oxnard/Ventura at Bellingham Marine Summary
Performs any combination of the essential duties and responsibilities of marina construction and floating dock installation while on project site. Successful candidates may be subject to a background check and will be required to participate in random drug screening per our Drug Free Workplace policy. Dependability for work schedule is crucial. Travel throughout the state required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Performs construction of marinas by installing floating docks in the water at the job site per blueprint specifications and per direction of Crew Lead and/or Construction Project Manager.
- Operates equipment and machinery in a knowledgeable, safe, and effective manner.
- Follows and applies safety rules and techniques.
- Reports any problems with construction duties to supervisor.
- May operate forklift to transport floats; places and aligns floats into correct order and position, following blueprint specifications.
- Uses hardware such as bolts, washers, rods, lumber, and necessary hand tools.
- Positions and fastens all required hardware and materials onto floats using wrenches, rubber mallets, and other appropriate tools, ensuring floats are assembled correctly.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
