Permanent History and Geography Teacher Required - Specialist School
Are you an experienced and dedicated SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding permanent role in a specialist setting?
We are seeking an outstanding, passionate, and resilient Humanities Teacher to join our dedicated team permanently at our specialist school, which focuses on supporting pupils with ASD and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
.

The RoleAs a Permanent Teacher, you will:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, differentiated History and Geography lessons tailored to the specific learning needs of a small class group.
Develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track pupil progress rigorously against personalised targets.
Utilise your expertise in behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment where all pupils can achieve.
Work closely with a dedicated team of Teaching Assistants and support staff, directing their work effectively to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Collaborate with external agencies, parents/carers, and the wider multidisciplinary team (e.g., therapists, social workers) to provide holistic support.
Contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum and the overall school ethos.
We are looking for a candidate who is:
A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- Experience Teaching History and Geography
Demonstrably experienced in teaching pupils with SEN, particularly Autism and SEMH (essential).
Highly skilled at adapting the curriculum to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.
Resilient, reflective, and committed to continuous professional development.
Proactive and skilled in positive behaviour management and de-escalation
.Able to build strong, trusting, and professional relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
