Early years educator (level
3) – Caterham and Croydon areas Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities in line with the EYFS.
• Support children’s learning through play‑based experiences.
• Observe, assess, and record children’s development and progress.
• Maintain accurate learning journeys and development records.
• Act as a key person for a group of children, building strong, secure relationships.

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.
• Follow safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Promote children’s health, hygiene, and personal care routines.
• Administer first aid where required (if trained).

• Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Experience working in an early years setting.
• Knowledge of SEND and inclusive practice.
• Food hygiene certificate.
