Flight Simulator Field Service Representative
Delaware Resource Group is searching for dedicated Flight Simulator Field Service Representatives to provide on-site support for flight simulator installation and modification – including disassembly, relocation, reassembly, and maintenance on various platforms located globally. This project‑based position requires flexibility, technical expertise, proactive problem‑solving, and the ability to handle complex technical challenges to ensure simulators operate at their best even after disassembly and relocation.
Base pay range: $79,000.00 – $89,000.00 per year (subject to skills and experience).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Operate, maintain, perform software updates, assist with upgrades, and assist with teardown/build‑up and deployment activities for Virtual Prototype (VP)/Flight Training Device (FTD) systems.
- Provide on‑site technical support, operational training of the system, and assist in developing schedules and plans.
- Perform general administrative duties on‑site, including record keeping, site security, vendor coordination, maintain spares, tools and technical manuals, act as a Bell liaison with the US Government, and conduct simulator system training for Army personnel.
- Read a Bill of Materials (BOM), create a packing and installation checklist, or provide input to those checklists.
- Perform power on and off, start‑up and shutdown, operational checks, session management, user support, networking, and device/system teardown and deployment activities.
- Maintain the VP/FTD: daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly inspections; hardware maintenance; software maintenance; simulator housekeeping; calibration of control‑loading systems; and calibration of visual systems.
- Perform VP/FTD software updates and maintain all operational and maintenance documentation, including user manuals, maintenance logs, and update records.
- Read electrical and mechanical schematics and use those schematics to troubleshoot potential issues.
- Assist OEM Engineer upgrade activities and provide training to users and maintenance staff on new features and systems introduced via upgrades.
Required
Education and Experience:
- 3–5 years working as a simulator technician.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux, ability to use simple editors, and navigate directory structures and files.
- Security Plus certificate preferred.
- Active Security Clearance preferred.
