Public Space Attendant; Housekeeper

Summary

To clean and maintain public areas including restrooms, food and beverage outlets, the spa, associate break areas, hallways, lobbies, offices and other guest areas.

• Clean the public space areas as outlined in the housekeeping manual and/or as directed by the Executive Housekeeper.
• Clean and maintain public restrooms, windows, ash urns, sidewalks, food and beverage outlets, the spa, associate break areas, lobbies, hallways, offices and other guest areas.
• Respond to guest request calls in a timely manner during the shift.
• Maintain awareness of all safety procedures and guidelines related to guests and associates.
• Be knowledgeable of cleaning products and their proper uses with safety awareness.
• Provide professional, friendly service to all guests.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and walk up and down inclines and stairs throughout the shift.
• Be at least 21 years old and able to obtain a Missouri E or Arkansas P designated driver’s license.
• Will perform other duties as required.

High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees.

Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10’s and 100’s; ability to use these operations with U.S. money and weight/volume/distance measurements.

Apply common sense to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions; handle problems with several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Must be at least 21, have a safe driving record and a Missouri class E or Arkansas P designated driver’s license.

Ability to work well with a team, prioritize tasks, sense urgency, and demonstrate real concern for guest satisfaction.

Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk or hear; frequently stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; occasionally climb or balance; lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently; specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment.

Frequently exposed to wet/humid conditions; occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather; moderate noise level.
