Payroll Administrator

Payroll Administrator position available in Paarl.

A reputable accounting firm is looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team. The successful candidate will manage payroll for a diverse client base while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, statutory compliance and excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payrolls.
• Process new employees, terminations, leave, bonuses, overtime and deductions.
• Handle payroll benefits, bank details and ACB exports.
• Prepare and submit EMP
  201, EMP
  501, UIF and other statutory returns.
• Attend to SARS queries, audits, verifications and reconciliations.
• Manage IRP5 / IT3(a) requirements and payroll records.
• Ensure compliance with South African payroll and labour legislation.
• Assist clients with payroll queries and provide professional advice.
• Support and guide the Payroll Team and assist with daily team operations.

Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12.
• 3–4 years’ payroll experience, preferably within an accounting or audit environment.
• Sound knowledge of SARS, UIF, WCA and statutory payroll requirements.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  
  Good communication and client service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous.
