An established group of companies is seeking to employ an ambitious and adept finance professional to join their finance function. This fast-expanding business offers a comprehensive range of outdoor products and related accessories and delivers trusted brands and expert advice.
A person with a strong sense of adventure and love of the outdoors will be a good fit. We are looking for a strong finance resource, with a minimum of 3 years' bookkeeping, accounting, and finance experience. A degree, diploma or certificate in accounting is preferred, along with completed/part-completed SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA articles, which will be a definite positive. Candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.
Experience working with Xero and strong accounts payable experience will be placed at a premium.

Duties and Responsibilities:- Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting.
- Monthly bookkeeping, ensuring capture of all financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments) in accounting software.
- Ensure transactions are supported by the appropriate documentation and are captured accurately and timeously.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare accounting work relating to compilations of annual financial statements.
- Writing up more complex accounting records of clients.
- Responsible for calculating VAT, PAYE and other necessary SARS requirements on a monthly basis.
- Prepare Debtors and Creditors reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Payroll and other monthly reviews.
- Adherence to relevant laws and regulations by staying up-to-date with legislation.
- Petty Cash management.
- Maintain fixed asset register.
- Responsible for review of invoicing and payments.
- Perform ad hoc duties and tasks.
Experience:
- Degree, diploma or certificate in accounting or similar.
- Completed / Part-completed articles - SAIPA, SAICA or CIMA.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in finance, accounting, or assurance.
- Xero Experience.
- Strong accounts payable, expenses and creditor recon experience.
- R300,000 - R360,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience.
