Junior Financial Accountant

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and eager Junior Financial Accountant to join their accounting team in Paarl on a full-time basis, with the potential for remote work after an initial onboarding period. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with limited experience to gain hands-on experience in a variety of accounting functions. You will support the senior accounting staff with daily tasks, learn essential accounting principles, and contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of the finance department.

We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong desire to build a career in accounting.

• Assist with the preparation of journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Help in the collection and analysis of financial data for reporting purposes.
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Assist with audit preparations and provide documentation as required.
• Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned by the senior accountants.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• A strong academic record with a foundational understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel .
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong desire to learn and develop professionally in the accounting field.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
