FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT (SAIPA) - R50k pm - PAARL

A well-established and historic agricultural estate in the Cape Winelands is seeking a Financial Accountant (SAIPA) with 1-2 years post-articles experience to join its finance team.

This role offers exposure to a working agricultural environment with multiple operational components, where finance plays an important role in supporting day-to-day farming, production and commercial activities. The successful candidate will work closely with management to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong controls and effective financial oversight across the business.

• Preparing monthly management accounts and assisting with financial reporting
• Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring accurate reconciliations
• Processing and reviewing journals, accruals and provisions
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Managing accounts payable and receivable oversight
• Assisting with stock and inventory accounting where relevant to agricultural operations
• Supporting cash flow management and financial planning
• Preparing schedules for audits and assisting with audit queries
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax and regulatory requirements
• Contributing to continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls

• 1-2 years post-articles experience
• Experience with in agriculture, farming, wine estates or related industries preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Solid Excel and financial systems skills
• High attention to detail and strong analytical ability
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Strong organisational and communication skills
