About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Civil Engineering Manager to lead construction projects in the Paarl region. This senior role requires strong leadership skills to oversee all phases of civil construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will manage a team of engineers and site staff, coordinate with various stakeholders, and uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance.
This is a crucial position for driving successful project outcomes in a key development area.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of civil construction projects, from planning and procurement to execution and handover.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of civil engineers, site supervisors, and construction personnel.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on all project sites.
- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project alignment and smooth operations.
- Implement quality control measures and ensure that all construction work meets required standards and specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; a Master's degree or PMP certification is advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale civil construction projects.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, contract management, and risk assessment.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
