About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Remote Senior Construction Scheduler to manage and optimize project timelines from anywhere. In this critical, fully remote role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing complex construction schedules for a variety of projects, ensuring efficient progression and timely completion. You will collaborate closely with project teams, providing insights and strategies to mitigate delays and manage resources effectively, supporting construction efforts primarily in the Paarl region and its environs.

Your expertise in advanced scheduling techniques and proactive problem-solving will be invaluable in maintaining project momentum and stakeholder satisfaction, all coordinated through digital platforms.

• Develop, implement, and maintain detailed master schedules for large-scale construction projects using industry-standard software.
• Analyze project progress, identify potential delays, and develop proactive recovery plans to keep projects on track.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, site superintendents, and subcontractors to gather schedule updates and identify risks.
• Prepare comprehensive schedule reports, variance analyses, and forecast projections for project stakeholders and senior management.
• Evaluate the impact of changes on the project schedule and coordinate the change order process.
• Utilize critical path method (CPM) scheduling and other advanced planning techniques to optimize project sequencing and resource allocation.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction scheduling, with a strong focus on large and complex projects.
• Expert proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Deep understanding of construction means and methods, and their impact on scheduling.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate remotely.
