Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Educational Psychologist to join their dedicated student support team in Paarl . This vital role involves assessing and addressing the learning, behavioral, and emotional needs of students to promote their academic success and overall well-being. You will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective intervention strategies. Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify learning, emotional, and behavioral challenges in students.
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention strategies and support plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Provide counseling and support services to students facing academic or personal difficulties.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create a cohesive support network for students.
- Contribute to the development of school-wide programs aimed at promoting positive mental health and learning environments.
- A Master's degree in Educational Psychology or a related field, with professional registration as an Educational Psychologist.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in an educational setting.
- Proficiency in various psychological assessment tools and diagnostic techniques.
- Strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and mental health interventions.
- Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and counseling skills , coupled with strong communication and collaboration abilities within the Western Cape context.
