About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Chemical Process Engineer to join their team in Paarl. This role provides an excellent foundation for an early-career engineer, offering exposure to the design, operation, and optimization of chemical processes. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, assisting with technical analyses, process improvements, and project execution. This is a valuable opportunity to develop core chemical engineering skills in a supportive and growth-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the design and development of chemical process equipment and systems.
- Support process simulation and modeling activities.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including P&IDs and operating manuals.
- Participate in process hazard analyses and safety reviews.
- Monitor plant performance data and contribute to troubleshooting efforts.
- Assist with the commissioning and start-up of new or modified process units.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 0-2 years of experience in the chemical industry or relevant internships.
- Basic understanding of chemical engineering principles and unit operations.
- Familiarity with process simulation software is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
