Land Surveyor - Cadastral & Engineering

About the Role

Our client is looking for a qualified Land Surveyor to join their established surveying team in Paarl . You will be responsible for a wide range of surveying tasks, including cadastral surveys for property boundaries, topographical surveys for engineering design, and construction stake-outs. This role is essential for ensuring accuracy and compliance in land development and engineering projects. • Conduct cadastral surveys to define property boundaries and prepare subdivision diagrams.
• Perform topographical surveys, setting out points, and as-built surveys for engineering projects.
• Utilize advanced surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
• Process survey data using specialized software and prepare accurate survey plans and reports.
• Ensure compliance with the Land Survey Act and other relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, and developers to provide essential survey data.

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Surveying.
• Professional registration with the South African Geomatics Council (SAGC) as a Professional Land Surveyor.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cadastral and engineering surveying.
• Proficiency with modern surveying instruments and data processing software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, LSS).
• Thorough understanding of South African surveying legislation and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in the field.
