About the Role

Our client seeks a specialized Stress Analysis Engineer to enhance their engineering capabilities in Paarl . The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mechanics of materials and finite element analysis, contributing to the development of robust and reliable products.

• Perform detailed stress analysis , fatigue analysis, and fracture mechanics calculations using FEA software.
• Interpret simulation results and provide clear, actionable recommendations to design engineers.
• Develop and validate analysis models, ensuring accuracy and correlation with test data where available.
• Collaborate with design teams to optimize component geometry and material selection for structural performance.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in finite element analysis techniques and tools.
• Prepare comprehensive analysis reports documenting methodologies, results, and conclusions.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Applied Mechanics.
• 3-5 years of experience in stress analysis and structural simulation.
• Proficiency with FEA software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar.
• Solid understanding of mechanics of materials, elasticity, plasticity, and vibration theory.
• Experience with testing and validation of mechanical components is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
