Senior Structural Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their team in Paarl, Western Cape , offering a hybrid working model. This role demands expertise in designing and analyzing complex structural systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. You will lead structural design projects, mentor junior engineers, and ensure that all designs meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance.

• Lead the structural design of various building types, from conceptualization to detailed construction drawings.
• Perform advanced structural analysis using sophisticated software for seismic, wind, and gravity loads.

• Ensure designs comply with the latest South African National Standards (SANS) and relevant building regulations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior structural engineers and CAD technicians.
• Collaborate closely with architects, civil engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in structural engineering design.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.
• Expertise in using structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP
  2000, Prokon, or equivalent.
• Deep understanding of concrete, steel, and masonry design principles.
• Excellent project management and client liaison skills.
