Geophysicist - Seismic Data Analyst

Our client is seeking a skilled Geophysicist specializing in Seismic Data Analysis to join their team in Paarl . This role is integral to the exploration and appraisal efforts within the Oil & Gas industry . You will be responsible for processing, interpreting, and integrating seismic data to delineate subsurface structures, identify potential hydrocarbon reservoirs, and reduce exploration risk, contributing vital insights from this strategically important location.

• Process and interpret 2D and 3D seismic data to identify geological structures and potential hydrocarbon traps.
• Perform seismic attribute analysis and inversion to characterize reservoir properties.
• Integrate seismic data with well log, core, and production data for comprehensive subsurface interpretation.
• Conduct geological risk assessments based on seismic interpretations.
• Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, and other geoscientists.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations detailing seismic interpretations and their implications.

• Master's degree in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in seismic data processing and interpretation within the Oil & Gas industry .
• Proficiency with seismic interpretation software packages (e.g., Petrel, Opend Tect, Kingdom Suite).
• Strong understanding of seismic acquisition, processing workflows, and data QC.
• Experience with velocity modeling and seismic attribute analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
