Junior Process Engineer - Fermentation & Bioprocessing

• Assist in the design and development of bioprocesses, including fermentation and downstream purification.
• Support pilot plant operations and data collection for process optimization.
• Monitor and analyze process performance data under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Help troubleshoot operational issues within the bioprocessing units.
• Contribute to the preparation of process documentation, such as P&IDs and SOPs.
• Participate in safety reviews and ensure adherence to laboratory and plant safety protocols.
• Assist in the scale-up of bioprocesses from laboratory to pilot scale.
• Conduct literature reviews and research on new bioprocessing technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including lab technicians and production staff.
• Gain practical experience with process control systems and instrumentation.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a
  
  B.Eng. or
  
  B.Sc. in Chemical or Biochemical Engineering.
• Strong academic record with a focus on bioprocess engineering, fermentation, or related fields.
• Basic understanding of chemical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with laboratory practices and safety procedures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to a team environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting in Paarl
