About the Role

Our client, a leading entity in the Arts & Entertainment sector, is actively seeking a discerning Talent Scout specializing in Performing Arts for their operations near Paarl . This crucial role involves identifying, evaluating, and recruiting emerging and established artists, performers, and creative talents. You will be responsible for attending performances, networking within the industry, and assessing potential for future success.

The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for talent, strong industry connections, and a deep understanding of the performing arts landscape.

• Actively scout for new and emerging talent in theater, music, dance, and other performing arts disciplines.
• Attend live performances, auditions, industry events, and showcases to identify promising artists.
• Evaluate talent based on skill, potential, marketability, and fit with the organization's artistic direction.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with artists, agents, managers, and industry professionals.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with prospective talent.
• Provide recommendations and insights to the artistic and management teams regarding talent acquisition strategies.

• Demonstrable experience in talent identification, casting, or artist management within the Performing Arts or Arts & Entertainment industry.
• An extensive network of contacts within the performing arts community.
• Excellent judgment and a strong understanding of artistic quality and potential.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
