Mortgage Originator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a driven and results-oriented Mortgage Originator to join their team in Paarl . This role is pivotal in building and managing a portfolio of mortgage clients, guiding them through the loan application process, and ensuring successful loan closures. You will leverage your expertise in financial products and sales to meet ambitious targets. This hybrid position allows for a mix of client meetings in the field and office-based administrative tasks, fostering efficiency and client satisfaction within the local real estate and finance market .

• Generate new mortgage loan business through networking, referrals, and proactive outreach.
• Advise potential borrowers on mortgage loan options, terms, and conditions.
• Guide clients through the entire mortgage application process, from submission to closing.
• Ensure all loan documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders.
• Meet or exceed individual sales targets and contribute to the team's overall success.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage origination or loan origination.
• Proven sales record and ability to generate leads and close deals.
• Thorough understanding of mortgage lending products, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a pipeline of applications effectively.
