About the Role
Our client is looking for a results-driven Mortgage Loan Originator to join their team in Paarl. This role focuses on assisting clients in obtaining mortgage financing, guiding them through the application process, and securing the best loan products to meet their home ownership goals. You will develop leads, build referral networks, and provide exceptional service throughout the loan lifecycle. This is a client-facing role within a dynamic financial sector, requiring excellent communication and sales skills, with the flexibility of a hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities- Source new mortgage loan business through networking, prospecting, and client referrals.
- Advise prospective borrowers on mortgage loan programs and financing options.
- Guide clients through the mortgage application process, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected accurately.
- Underwrite and package loan applications for submission to processing and closing departments.
- Stay up-to-date on mortgage lending regulations, market trends, and product offerings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources.
- Proven experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator or in a similar sales role within the financial services industry.
- NQF Level 4 certification or equivalent required for mortgage origination.
- In-depth knowledge of mortgage lending products, underwriting guidelines, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a pipeline of potential clients and close deals effectively.
- Proficiency in loan origination software and CRM systems.
