Our client is seeking a knowledgeable Supply Chain Consultant to join their team in Paarl . This role is crucial for optimizing clients' supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and resilience from procurement to delivery. You will analyze complex supply chain networks, identify bottlenecks, and design innovative solutions that enhance performance and reduce risk. This is a hands-on, client-facing role perfect for a professional eager to drive tangible improvements in logistics and supply chain management within the Western Cape region and potentially beyond.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze end-to-end supply chain processes , including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency gains, and risk mitigation within the supply chain.
- Develop and implement optimized supply chain strategies and solutions, including network design and technology integration.
- Collaborate with clients' logistics and operations teams to ensure seamless implementation of recommendations.
- Utilize data analytics to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and improve transportation efficiency.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in supply chain management.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or consulting.
- Proven experience in optimizing supply chain operations and implementing strategic improvements.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain software and data analysis tools is essential.
