About the Role

Our client is searching for a skilled and experienced Buyer II to enhance their procurement team in Paarl . This role involves managing procurement activities for specific categories of goods and services, focusing on optimizing costs, ensuring quality, and maintaining reliable supply chains. You will be responsible for supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management, playing a critical role in achieving the company's strategic purchasing objectives.

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for assigned product categories.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and service.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand material needs and forecast demand.

• Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role (3-5 years).
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Solid understanding of supply chain principles and procurement best practices.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
