Logistics Coordinator

Our client is seeking a proactive and organized Logistics Coordinator to manage the efficient flow of goods for their FMCG operations based in Paarl . You will be responsible for overseeing transportation, warehousing, and inventory management to ensure timely delivery of products to customers. This role requires excellent planning, communication, and problem-solving skills to navigate the complexities of supply chain management in a growing company.

You will work closely with suppliers, distributors, and internal teams to streamline logistics operations and maintain high service levels within the Western Cape region.

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of domestic and international transportation, including scheduling and tracking shipments.
• Oversee warehousing operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to negotiate rates and ensure timely service.
• Maintain accurate logistics documentation , including shipping manifests, customs forms, and invoices.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize stock rotation and minimize holding costs.
• Resolve any logistical issues or delays that may arise, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar supply chain role, preferably in FMCG.
• Strong understanding of logistics, warehousing, and inventory management principles.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
