About the Role
Our client, a leader in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry, is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to lead their manufacturing operations in Paarl, Western Cape . This critical role involves overseeing daily production activities, ensuring efficient output, maintaining high quality standards, and managing a team of production staff to meet demanding targets. You will be responsible for optimizing production processes, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes within the FMCG sector , and a commitment to operational excellence, making a significant contribution to the efficient and safe production of our client’s popular products.
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output targets and quality standards.
- Manage, train, and motivate a team of production line workers, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Monitor production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations in the production area.
- Oversee equipment operation and maintenance, coordinating with the maintenance team for timely repairs.
- Maintain accurate production records, including output, waste, and downtime, reporting to production management.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, specifically in the FMCG industry .
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and health & safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in production planning and reporting.
- A relevant technical qualification or degree is advantageous.
