Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Planner to join their team in Paarl, Western Cape . This critical role involves overseeing the scheduling and coordination of all production activities to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing of products. You will be responsible for creating detailed production plans, managing material requirements, and collaborating closely with various departments to meet production targets and customer demands.
The ideal candidate possesses excellent planning skills, strong communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing workflows, contributing to the overall operational success.
- Develop and manage detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and resource availability.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address any delays or issues.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and line leaders to ensure smooth execution of the production plan.
- Communicate production schedules and updates to relevant stakeholders across the organization.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and optimize planning processes for increased efficiency.
- Proven experience as a Production Planner or in a similar planning and scheduling role.
- Strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing environments.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using production planning software and ERP systems.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for inter-departmental collaboration.
