Industrial Production Engineer

Our client is looking for a dedicated Industrial Production Engineer to join their operational team in Paarl . This role is central to optimizing production lines, improving manufacturing efficiency, and ensuring the consistent quality of products. You will work hands-on with the production floor, collaborating with operators and supervisors to implement process improvements and troubleshoot issues. • Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for efficiency improvements.
• Implement and refine production processes using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to reduce waste and enhance throughput.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all production activities.
• Work closely with the production team to provide technical support and resolve operational challenges in real-time.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance department to ensure products meet required standards and specifications.
• Participate in the design and implementation of new production equipment or process upgrades.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong understanding of production planning and control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure on the shop floor.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
