About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and diligent Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality control and assurance processes for their FMCG operations in Paarl. This crucial role involves establishing and maintaining robust quality management systems to ensure all products meet the highest standards of safety, efficacy, and compliance. You will lead a team of QA professionals, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and supply chain functions.
The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of QA principles and a commitment to upholding product integrity.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Quality Assurance programs and systems for FMCG products.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international food safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular internal audits and facilitate external audits by regulatory bodies and customers.
- Lead and mentor the Quality Assurance team, providing guidance and performance management.
- Oversee product testing, validation, and release processes to guarantee quality and safety.
- Investigate quality deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control, with significant experience in the FMCG sector.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing HACCP, ISO, and GMP systems.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the food industry.
- Proficiency in quality management software and data analysis techniques.
