Inventory Control Officer - Retail

Our client is looking for a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Officer to manage stock integrity at their Paarl retail location. This critical role ensures accurate inventory records, minimizes stock discrepancies, and optimizes stock levels to support sales operations. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and analyzing stock data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of inventory management systems and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory using the company's inventory management system.
• Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts to identify and reconcile discrepancies.
• Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures to minimize loss and shrinkage.
• Analyze inventory data to forecast demand, identify slow-moving items, and optimize stock levels.
• Oversee the receiving and warehousing of goods, ensuring proper storage and organization.
• Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams to ensure product availability and manage stock flow.

• Proven experience in inventory control, stock management, or a similar role within a retail environment.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and database systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently in the Paarl area.
