About the Role
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and safety-conscious Flight Dispatcher to join their operations team in Paarl . You will be responsible for planning and monitoring flight operations, ensuring flights are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a keen understanding of meteorology, navigation, and aviation regulations, working closely with pilots and air traffic control to manage flight plans, fuel requirements, and potential operational disruptions.

- Plan and prepare flight plans, considering weather conditions, airspace restrictions, and operational requirements.
- Calculate fuel loads and ensure compliance with fuel policies and flight parameters.
- Monitor flight progress en route, providing updates and making adjustments as necessary due to changing conditions.
- Liaise effectively with pilots, air traffic control, and station personnel to ensure coordinated operations.
- Analyze weather forecasts and NOTAMs to identify potential risks and develop contingency plans.
- Maintain accurate flight logs and operational records.
- Possess a valid Flight Dispatcher license or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience in flight planning and operations monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of aviation meteorology, aerodynamics, and navigation principles.
- Familiarity with aviation regulations and airline operating procedures.
- Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency in flight planning software and communication systems.
