Inventory Control Specialist

Our client is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join their operations in Paarl , with a hybrid work arrangement. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, and implementing strategies to minimize discrepancies and stock losses. This role is vital for ensuring the availability of products and optimizing warehouse efficiency. You will work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to manage stock levels, reconcile variances, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the supply chain, ensuring that the right products are in the right place at the right time.

• Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Investigate root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
• Implement and manage inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure proper flow of goods.

• Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physical counts and work in a warehouse environment.
