Position: JTLS-GO Software Engineer (Job )

Location: Pacific Grove, CA

Pay Range: $75,000 - $150,000 per year

• Valkyrie Enterprises has a Software Engineer opportunity supporting the Software and Simulation Division
• The candidate will have an opportunity to participate in the development and deployment of software products that support US and International Defense Services and Agencies
• The position is based out of Pacific Grove, CA

• Become a contributor to an important wargaming simulation software product
• Advance the product's capabilities for customers by developing new features, modifying existing ones as needed, and addressing issues
• Review and update documentation for the software product
• Build and deploy an instance of the software on a Virtual Machine
• Understand and implement cyber security best practices
• Document lessons learned from deployment
• Produce a set of recommendations to improve existing training guides for the product
• Perform research and development reports on key designs
• Perform unit testing, peer reviews, integration testing, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Must have a BS or BA in a STEM discipline with a preference of software development, mathematics, engineering, or computer/software engineering
• Must have experience with JAVA, C++, PYTHON or other common languages
• Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must have advanced time management, problem solving, organizational, and critical thinking skills
• Must have the ability to work in a collaborative team environment

• Experience with software design patterns and applying them in an existing product's architecture, preferred
• Experience with computer systems administration, such as Linux, Windows, or IOS, preferred
• Experience with simulation/modeling tools - Sim Script
• Experience with develop tracking tools sets - Azure, Git, or other, preferred
• Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery, preferred
• Experience with virtualization and/or container-based deployment, preferred
• Experience with AI/ML tools and principles, preferred
• Experience with APIs and data exchanges between applications, preferred

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

• Occasional Travel- up to 30%
• Possible temporary travel to Pacific Grove, CA or Huntsville, AL to be get exposure to the software product teams.
