Global Customs Compliance Manager
We are seeking a  Global Customs Compliance Manager  to manage import/export and intra‑community trade processes, ensuring full compliance with international customs regulations. You will act as the main contact for Customs Authorities and provide expert guidance on trade compliance. This role reports hierarchically to the Chief Operations Officer and functionally to the Global Tax Director.

Responsibilities

Ensuring full compliance with customs regulations for all import/export operations, including tariff classification, origin determination, valuation, and recordkeeping.

Developing, implementing, and maintaining trade compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls to meet regulatory requirements.

Monitoring regulatory changes related to tariffs, duties, and trade restrictions; communicating updates effectively across departments.

Managing customs audits and maintaining comprehensive documentation for customs and VAT compliance.

Collaborating cross‑functionally, particularly with Tax and Logistics teams, to ensure correct VAT treatment on imports, exports, and intra‑community transactions.

Supporting the Tax function in analyzing customs‑related data for indirect tax reporting and reconciliation.

Ensuring proper documentation retention for VAT compliance in intra‑community exchanges.

Providing expert guidance to internal stakeholders and external partners on customs and trade compliance matters, including the fiscal impact of customs operations (duties, tariffs, VAT implications).

Assisting in preparing reports and analyses for tax authorities related to customs and VAT compliance.

Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance in import/export operations.

Preparing and maintaining manuals, reports, and presentations to support compliance programs.

Ensuring data accuracy and integrity within systems to support downstream processes.

Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

6–7 years minimum of experience in customs compliance or related areas.

Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import/export processes, and VAT compliance.

Proficiency in English; SAP experience is a plus.

Excellent team‑working, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

High level of discretion and ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
