The Resident Care Associate reports to the Family Experience Director, Pearl Director or the Assistant Family Experience Director. This role involves providing high-quality care and services to residents in assisted living and memory care neighborhoods, in alignment with each resident’s Personalized Service Plan (PSP) and in accordance with applicable standards and Phoenix policies.

Mon-Fri;
Every other weekend required

• Participates in the development and updates of Personalized Service Plans; attends service plan review meetings with families as requested
• Follows the hydration schedule established for residents
• Complete resident meal attendance records and ensure appropriate meal service or documentation when residents do not dine in the dining room
• Know and comply with all resident rights
• Initiate, assign, and assist with activities as appropriate
• Check assigned residents daily for cleanliness, appropriate clothing, continence issues, and changes in condition
• Use proper sanitary procedures and universal precautions
• Check resident rooms daily for general cleanliness; ensure high-risk rooms are double-checked
• Assist with laundry and common areas cleaning; address any hazardous chemicals by contacting housekeeping or taking appropriate action
• Complete all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) for assigned residents per PSP
• Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly and take appropriate action, including resetting call bells

• High school education preferred (state requirements may apply)
• Prior experience with elders or disabled individuals preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old to perform personal care aspects of the RCA position
• Knowledge/experience in assisted living, dementia care, or skilled nursing preferred
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours to meet peak service delivery times
