This position is responsible for:
The LifNAV Outreach Coach work in conjunction with the wider array of homeless services to locate clients, help them navigate the process of obtaining housing, and secure all the documents necessary to prove eligibility for those housing resources LifNAV Outreach Coach determine those with the highest level of need and focus their attention and efforts on those individuals least likely to obtain housing without assistance.
The LifNAV Outreach Coach collaborates one-on-one with a participant in a collaborative process to help identify and achieve goals. A LifNAV Outreach Coach strives to serve the whole household, keeping the participants, in the driver's seat, and being aware that households are the experts on their strengths and perceived challenges ahead.
Key Responsibilities- Works primarily outdoors to identify and build rapport with homeless individuals and families living on the street or in places not meant for habitation who have mental illness, or mental illness and substance abuse.
- Demonstrates care and develops significant trust with client while maintaining strong boundaries in client relationships.
Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (25 pounds or less) 5-10% of work time.
Duties are performed in a variety of conditions including but not limited to outdoors and encampments.
Work is performed in a different environment ranging from an office, coffee shop, encampment, etc. where physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like exist; a great deal of face-to-face contact with the homeless or less fortunate may present health and safety issues, or combative situations.

Education and Experience
- H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
- And 6 months to 1 year experience in case management, counseling, and/or supervision of others.
- Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Possess a valid driver's license. Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle.
