American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift contract requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

• Acute Medical unit with cardiac telemetry, progressive care, and respiratory care patients
• Cares for medical and surgical patients with cardiac dysrhythmia, respiratory illness, and altered hemodynamics requiring cardiac monitoring
• 13-week contract with night shift schedule )
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
• Current BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required within 3 months of start
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of start
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience preferred
• Last 4 digits of SSN and month/day of date of birth required for consideration

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, implement individualized care plans, and coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and care coordination
• Collaborate with inter-professional care team members and delegate tasks appropriately
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility, or local candidates accepted at a lower pay rate
